Devoted to the Word
Our statement of faith
As Christians, we believe that all humans fall short of the glory of God and therefore have sinned. We believe that the punishment for all sin is death. However, we rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ who came down from heaven to take our place on the cross, freeing us from damnation and taking our punishment upon Himself. It is through our faith in Christ alone, that we are given the gift of eternal life in heaven.
As Christ followers, we believe in the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit) to set us free from our sins. This freedom comes with confession by our tongues and hearts that Jesus is Lord and the belief that Jesus died for our sins, rose from the grave, and will come again.

Children's Church
Prayerful Young Disciples
Our ministry at Living Word, encourages prayer and sharing testimonies of answered prayers regularly. Not only do we share our prayers requests, but we equip our young disciples on Biblical prayer and communion with our Lord.
One of our favorite prayers is called the "popcorn prayer", where the young disciples and teachers will pray aloud individually as they are prompted. As was modeled by Jesus in the Lord's Prayer, we focus on the adoration of God, the confession of sins, giving thanks to God, and cover any prayer requests the young disciples may have.

Young Disciples that Love like Christ
Young Disciples that Love like Christ
The Children's Ministry is an act of love for all of the teachers, parents, and young disciples involved.
Parents, we know it takes faithfulness in dropping your young disciple off to church on time. And maybe even getting up early in the morning sounds really difficult to do on a weekend. However, the Biblical teachings and connections made among the young disciples, younger and older, will be worth the sacrifice! And Lord willing, it will provide a rich experience to those with an open heart and a deeper understanding of His Word and love for Him.
Bring your Bibles... they will be open the entire time!

Young Disciples that reach out to others
Praying together connects us with the purposes of Christ. The Apostle John writes: “And this is the confidence we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” (1 John 5:14-15).

Serving our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church
The Children's Church ministry serves our young disciples, but as a result, they learn to serve as well. We give honor to the Lord above anything else.
During our time of worship, you may find some of our young disciples serving one another, singing, playing the piano, assisting with the presentation of slides, lending a helping hand, and encouraging children younger than them.
Above all else, our desire for serving Christ and His church is to serve in love.

Teachers that are dedicated to the Word of God and discipling of hearts.
What a joy and blessing to serve in the Lord's calling of a teacher! Our teachers meet regularly to prepare and teach lessons that are Biblically accurate, often bringing their own spiritual gifts into this service for the church. God gets all the glory!
With high regard for God's Word, each lesson is taught directly from Scripture and further expanded upon so that the young disciples can apply the teachings to their lives.
Ultimately, we are preparing our young disciples for a lifetime of worship, therefore at the beginning of each month, we dedicate this Sunday to preparing the young disciples to worship alongside their parents and families during the larger church worship service.
